I-864A

The “Affidavit of Support” is a signed document to accept financial responsibility for a family member who is seeking a green card. It is also known as the U.S. Immigration Form I-864A.

For simplicity, we’ll call the person signing this Affidavit of Support the “financial sponsor.” This is usually (but not always) the same person as the sponsoring family member.

You have the following responsibilities upon completion:

  • The signed form must be mailed directly to USCIS.
  • All the applicable USCIS fees must be paid by you
